Isabel Boada

Senior Psychologist

I am a registered Psychologist, a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS)

I have been practicing since 2002 in private practice, hospitals, medical centres, universities, and home schooling settings, and I have been very fortunate to be working in different countries.

I earned a Bachelor in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology in Colombia, and a Master’s Degree in Intervention in Anxiety and Stress from Complutense University of Madrid, Spain.

I have experience working with a range of issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, chronic pain, anger management, post-natal depression, workplace bullying, relationship problems, and as a health psychologist with a wide range of clients including adults, children, adolescents and families from different backgrounds.

I also have more than 12 years’ experience working in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorders in children and young adults, and as a communication consultant in the field.

I use a different number of psychological therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Perinatal Counselling, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Cantered Therapy, Systemic Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Play therapy.

I have strong passion for what I do and I believe through therapy we create opportunities to improve the quality of life and emotional wellbeing of our clients and people around them.
