Montana Taylor

Provisional Psychologist

I’m a Provisional Psychologist with a Master of Professional Psychology from the University of Notre Dame (2025). My pathway into psychology has included a Bachelor of Psychological Science from the University of Wollongong and a Graduate Diploma of Psychology Advanced from Monash University.

Working in disability support, behaviour support, and youth wellbeing has shaped the kind of therapist I am—someone who shows up with compassion, curiosity, and a genuine commitment to helping people feel safe and understood. I’ve been fortunate to support people of all ages in a range of roles, and these experiences have grounded my practice in trauma-informed, client-centred care. Most importantly, they’ve taught me the value of meeting each person exactly where they are.

In sessions, my approach is gentle, collaborative, and relational. I believe the therapeutic relationship is a powerful space for healing, and I prioritise building a connection that feels supportive and authentic. I primarily draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), alongside practical strategies from other evidence-based models to suit the individual needs of each client. My goal is for people to leave therapy feeling more confident, capable, and equipped with skills they can use in their everyday lives.

I support clients experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioural challenges, and low self-esteem. I also have a strong foundation in working with children and young people, and I love helping them develop emotional awareness, self-confidence, and independence.

Supports Clients: Kids 7+, adolescents and adults
