I’m a Provisional Psychologist who has completed a Masters of Professional Psychology, an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology at the University of Wollongong as well as my Honours (First Class) and Masters Course at Southern Cross University in Coffs Harbour.
My previous experience as a Residential Youth Worker, working with children and adolescents facing homelessness in crisis refuges has broadened my skill set and reinforced the importance of nurturing and fostering a safe space within therapy, free of judgement encouraging each individual to flourish to their full potential.
As a part of my studies I completed a placement in a Kindergarten to Year 12 Independent School as the School Psychologist. This provided valuable experience supporting students presenting with anxiety, depression, Autism, ADHD and learning difficulties.
Working in collaboration with schools and cognitive assessment outcomes enables me to devise treatment plans to support each individuals needs.
Primarily my experience is using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness. I continue to develop further skills in other evidence-based therapies over the course of my internship.
