I’m an AHPRA registered Psychologist who has completed an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology at the University of Wollongong, and my Honours (First Class) and Master of Professional Psychology at Southern Cross University in Coffs Harbour.
I have previous experience as a Residential Youth Worker, working in crisis refuges with adolescents facing homelessness. This has broadened my therapeutic skill set and reinforced the importance of nurturing and fostering a safe space within therapy, free of judgement and encouraging each individual to flourish to their full potential. Using a trauma-informed approach, these skills have transferred across into my psychological practice.
As a part of my studies, I completed a placement in a Kindergarten to Year 12 Independent School as a School Psychologist. This provided valuable experience supporting students presenting with anxiety, depression, Autism, ADHD, bullying, and learning difficulties.
I often work collaboratively with schools and cognitive assessment outcomes, which enables me to devise treatment plans to support each individual’s needs.
I work with clients of all ages, and have experience with children, adolescents, families, and adults. I can provide support with:
– Anxiety
– Anger management
– Academic or workplace performance
– ADHD/Autism
– Depression
– Emotion regulation
– Grief
– Life transitions and adjustment
– Low self-esteem
– Relationship difficulties
– School avoidance/refusal
– Stress
Primarily my experience is using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness.
I’m continuously working on developing further skills in other evidence-based therapies.
